Each day she used her break to walk around our building.

Judy Shepler has helped our team stay focused and on track with our Live Healthy Program.  Each day she used her break to walk around our building – inside when it was cold or rainy and outside once Spring arrived.  She encouraged others to join the walk and soon had a following.  She turned the walk into a habit and a social event!

Judy began our Friday eat healthy lunch program.  Our Live Healthy Team had lunch together every Friday.  We’d decide early in the week what we’d eat on Friday, and then everyone would bring in something for the meal.  We had baked potato day with low fat cheese and sour cream, salad bar with low fat dressings and tacos with turkey meat and low fat cheese.  We even had homemade vegetable soup made in a crock pot.  Judy brought in fresh fruit salad with low fat Yogurt, which became a team favorite.  We enjoyed the variety and challenged each other to come up with a new low fat lunch idea.

Friday morning she’d send out a reminder to be sure we all weighed in.  We kept a scale in the office to eliminate excuses! Thanks to Judy we all stayed on track!
